Complimentary Therapy Courses ~ Complementary Therapy College ~ Nature Care College ~
Nature Care College Ltd
The college was founded in 1990 as Nature Care School of Massage. Classes in the basic Anatomy, Physiology and Massage were held in the Pitsea Leisure Centre. We have chosen the International Therapy Examination Council (I.T.E.C.) as our examining body as they are the most prestigious examining body in the complementary therapy field. ITEC is accredited as an awarding body under the NQF (National Qualification Framework) and examines in modular units which provide flexibility and transportability. Nature Care College has an excellent reputation with I.T.E.C. and they refer many students to us.
By 1992 expansion forced a move to larger premises at 3a Broadway North, Pitsea. Further disciplines such as Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Sports Therapy etc. were introduced and the school name was upgraded to Nature Care College of Complementary Therapies.
From the beginning 'Nature Care' began to acquire a high reputation for the thoroughness of the training it provided and there are many highly successful therapists practicing in Britain today who owe their start to the training they received with us.
The explanation of our high pass rate lies in the style of our tuition. Class sizes are kept small and students receive individual attention. There is a good deal of flexibility in our training programme, we are able to accommodate shift workers, missed classes, holidays etc. Most of our students come to us by recommendation from past and current pupils. Many are recommended by other colleges which do not have our range of courses. N.H.S. trusts and local authorities have sent nurses and care assistants to us for training.
Nature Care provides ITEC Diploma level training in Holistic Massage, Anatomy & Physiology (theory only), Sports Massage, Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Courses are open to men and women. Nature Care operates an equal opportunities policy. Students practise on each other under supervision. The minimum examination age is sixteen years.
COURSE RECOGNITION: Successful students will be awarded the appropriate International Therapy Examination Council (I.T.E.C.) Diplomas and will be eligible for membership and professional indemnity insurance with professional bodies such as EMBODY and the Complementary Therapists Association).
Additional courses covering Advanced Massage Techniques, Reiki and Indian Head Massage are held regularly.
